International Bank Account Number – Wikipedia
The International Bank Account Number (IBAN) is an international, standardized notation for bank account numbers. It is described by the ISO standard ISO 13616-1:2020.
The IBAN is composed as follows:
- 2-digit country code according to ISO 3166-1 (consisting of capital letters)
- 2-digit checksum with check digits in accordance with ISO 7064 (consisting of digits)
- Maximum 30-digit account identification (consisting of the letters A-Z or digits)
