01 What does the QR Code function do?

The GC Wizard can encode any character strings in QR Codes or extract data from QR Codes.

Decrypt

After loading an image from the device or from the internet, the text is analysed and output.

Encrypt

The entered text is immediately displayed as a QR code. The image can then be saved.

Pixel size can be used to define how many pixels a square of the QR code consists of.

The size and the error correction level for the QR code can be defined with Advanced.

The size ranges from automatic to 21×21 (v1) to 177×177 (v40).

The following levels are available for error correction:

LowLow is suitable if it is expected that the QR code will only suffer minimal damage. Low offers an error correction rate of approx. 7%.
MediumMedium is suitable for most general purposes such as marketing and can cope with medium damage. M-level QR codes can recover up to 15% of the data in the event of errors.
QuartileThe quartile error correction level is useful when the QR code may be more damaged or distorted. Q-level QR codes can recover up to 25% of the data in the event of an error or damage.
HighThe high error correction level offers maximum error correction. It is used when the QR code could be severely damaged or falsified.
A QR code with level H error correction can recover up to 30% of its data.
